Safeguarding Children in Basnett Street Nursery School
'Safeguarding children and protecting them from harm is everyone's responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and families has a role to play. If children and families are to receive the right help at the right time, everyone who comes into contact with them has a role to play in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action.'
The four key points from the KCSiE 2021 are:
- Protecting children from maltreatment;
- Preventing impairment of children's health & development;
- Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care; and
- Take action to enable all children to have the best outcomes
The nursery school designated safeguarding lead (DSL) is Mrs Lindsay Ingham - Headteacher. If you have any safeguarding or welfare concerns, please speak to the DSL or one of our Deputy DSL: Ms Emma Barker - Lead Teacher & Miss Elizabeth Hall - EYFS Teacher.
